Last night, after much guidance from my niece, I finally got my new MP3 working and discovered just how wonderful technology can be for music. I figure if someone with my limited computer programming skills can do this, anyone can. I am now the very proud owner of something that can hold my "desert island discs." No more clunky walkman slapping against my side when I take a walk or clean my place.
With just Windows Media Player, my personal CD collection from home and the iAudio device I was able to rip and burn and send my beloved songs to a happy place. The iAudio website (www. cowonglobal.com ) comes in handy, maybe even more so than the enclosed manuals (those things are full of the tiniest print!).
You really have to play around with the MP3 device's sound system. At first, everything sounded muffled. But I soon discovered that the settings needed to be changed. Once I made the adjustments...I heard notes in my favorite album tracks I'd never heard before.
more soon...
