Since I've been exploring Flickr, I've accidentally discovered that one of my former classmates is now a very, very successful CEO (wow!) and another person I knew way back when is happily living in Germany...
I currently don't have anything to upload to Flickr (I still use a regular camera and have two or three rolls waiting to be developed) but I love using the site to look up photos on my favorite things...lately I've been obsessed with bridges and the Baltimore Beltway...(Don't ask me why:) )
meanwhile I FINALLY know what a mashup is, though I'm still a BIT intimidated by some of the "new" computuer monsters I occasionally encounter at night:
Mashup (web application hybrid)
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
"A mashup is a web application that combines data from more than one source into a single integrated tool; a typical example is the use of cartographic data from Google Maps to add location information to real-estate data from Craigslist, thereby creating a new and distinct web service that was not originally envisaged by either source."
